Last week at the Rock Valley Conference Championship Meet at UWW, our WMS Cross Country team ran like the wind and put their full efforts into a tough race. Our middle school boys are proud Conference Champions with a 1st place finish! Way to go all Cross Country athletes on an amazing season!



REMINDER: There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 9, for teacher in-service.


Just a reminder there is no school for students on Monday Oct. 9th. Classes will resume on Tuesday Oct 10 regular time.


Picture Retake day is Tuesday Oct 10th.


Students used the academic vocabulary from their current chapter to create word problems. They then did a gallery walk solving those problems. Not only did the word problems relate to what the students were currently learning but it also tied to an area we know is assessed on the Forward Exam! Well done!



Picture Retake is Tuesday, October 10th. Students who missed picture day should get their picture taken. If you weren't happy with your 1st round pictures you can have them retaken tuesday.

Congratulations to our amazing WMS Cross Country team on their running success at the Jefferson Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 26! Special congratulations to our boys team for another 1st place finish! We have over 40 athletes on the team this year who have been putting forth full effort at every meet! Our tradition is to take "we're strong, we've got this" muscle pictures at the starting line before each run. Way to go running Whippets!




The Whitewater Middle School help the High School homecoming with a stuff the bus competition between grade levels. The 8th grade brought in the most items being 204, followed by the 6th grade with 187 and the 7th grade brought in 95. Congratulations the Whitewater Middle School student body for helping the local food pantry.


Student Council & the WMS PTO are looking for donations to be used in our haunted house:
-large black or dark tarps
-old black or dark blue sheets
-rolls of black plastic
-styrofoam heads
-skeletons and or skulls
-old dolls
-any Halloween items you are looking to get rid of

n 6th Grade Reading Skills, students were reading about The Great Chicago Fire, and the Peshtigo Fire. Then they used a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the two devastating fires.

Stuff the bus coming next week. Help support the food drive


Now available for student checkout in the LMC are wireless hotspots. They can be checked out for two weeks. Any student who needs access at home or on a bus ride for sports in order to complete homework can check one out. They work using US Cellular's wireless network. This is being done via a grant for one year and will be assessed at the end of the year.

The 2023 Whitewater High School Athletic Booster Club Cookout and Membership Drive will take place on Friday, September 8th at WHS prior to the varsity football game at 7:00pm. See the images below for more information. Go Whippets!
