On Friday, April 29th, the 8th-grade class went over to the high school to take aerial photos in the shape of a human “10”. These photos have been submitted for a contest that CNN 10 has put out to all schools, across the country. They are looking for new images that can be used for their opening credits for the next school year. If Whitewater Middle School were to win, the photos would be seen in every classroom that uses CNN 10. The newscast's purpose is to keep students up to date on current events without overwhelming them with extra information or commentary. CNN 10 is used in Mr. Bee’s Social Studies classes to have open discussions about what is going on in our world. The overall goal is for our students to become well-informed/rounded citizens that can make decisions for themselves by using factual information.
