Why Whitewater? 
Hello! I’m excited to begin my 15th year of teaching, and 9th year in Whitewater. I previously taught 8th grade language arts and social studies here at Whitewater Middle School, and am now THRILLED to be back as the reading specialist.  I’m proud to be a part of the Whitewater School district, and love the progressive and open-minded feel of the small town with big opportunities for education. 

Before teaching here, I completed my undergraduate degree at UW-Oshkosh as a Secondary Education English major. In 2010, I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Professional Development from UW-Whitewater, and also later in 2014, earned my Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist licenses. 

I have a passion for reading, literacy, education, and working with others to promote literacy opportunities for all. Fortunately, working with the amazing students and staff here at the middle school creates the perfect professional environment for me. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and active with my family, and am also an adjunct professor at Blackhawk Technical College.
