Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
On Monday, October 25, 2021, the school board approved my proposal for a 2023 eighth-grade summer trip to Washington D.C. and New York City. I am excited to bring this opportunity to your families and especially your student.
This will be my eighth time participating in a student trip and my sixth time leading the trip. Travel is an exciting way to introduce your child to the country on a global level. This group of students has been denied so many experiences due to the pandemic and I would love to lead them on this trip.
In July of 2022, I lead the class of 2026 on their own trip to DC and New York. It was a blazing success and students showed so much growth in independence and leadership skills. If you see one of the travelers, be sure to aks them about the trip.
Last December I hostess a meeting where I discussed all the specifics of the trip, but with our busy lives, a number of you could not attend. Attached to this message is the information slide show for the trip and how to sign up.
EF is increasing the price of the trip on October 1st, 2022. There are many payment options and we will have fundraising opportunities as well.

Estimados padres y tutores de 8vo grado,
El lunes 25 de octubre de 2021, la junta escolar aprobó mi propuesta para un viaje de verano de octavo grado en 2023 a Washington D.C. y la ciudad de Nueva York. Estoy emocionado de traer esta oportunidad a sus familias y especialmente a su estudiante.
Esta será la octava vez que participo en un viaje de estudiantes y la sexta vez que dirijo el viaje. Viajar es una forma emocionante de presentarle a su hijo el país a nivel mundial. A este grupo de estudiantes se le han negado tantas experiencias debido a la pandemia y me encantaría guiarlos en este viaje.
En julio de 2022, dirijo a la clase de 2026 en su propio viaje a DC y Nueva York. Fue un gran éxito y los estudiantes mostraron mucho crecimiento en independencia y habilidades de liderazgo. Si ve a uno de los viajeros, asegúrese de preguntarle sobre el viaje.
En diciembre pasado organicé una reunión en la que discutí todos los detalles del viaje, pero con nuestras vidas ocupadas, algunos de ustedes no pudieron asistir. Adjunto a este mensaje está la presentación de diapositivas de información para el viaje y cómo registrarse.
EF está aumentando el precio del viaje el 1 de octubre de 2022. Hay muchas opciones de pago y también tendremos oportunidades de recaudación de fondos.
